Christian Hoteliers appeal against pro gay ruling

The Christian couple who would not give a gay couple a double room in their hotel have appealed against the ruling that they acted unlawfully.

Mr Hall and Mr Preddy claimed sexual orientation discrimination under the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007. The Bulls defence was that as Christians, they did not believe unmarried couples should share a room.
The Judge said whatever their beliefs as to what was morally correct the Bulls acted unlawfully and they were ordered to pay civil partners Preddy and Hall £1,800 each in damages.
