I don’t want to worry you but…..

An asteroid that is 400m (1,300ft) wide will pass the Earth on Tuesday and at distance of 325,000km /202,000miles, will be closer than the Moon.

Boffins reassure us that this humungous lump of spacedust cannot hit the Earth and will not even be visible to the naked eye but will provide a unique opportunity for study and amateur astronomers may be able to see it with telescopes of 15cm or larger.

Apparently we should not worry about this - in the future others will come closer .....
